Aussie ingenuity. The Holden Overlander was crafted by Arthur Haywood in Launceston with some serious engineering. The factory front and rear ends were removed, then the chassis was strengthened and fitted with mounting points for sturdy leaf springs. The axle assemblies were made specifically for the Overlander, by Dana in the US, as was the transfer case. There's some ute versions and way cool Panel Van versions still flinging around.
But for us the wagon is the ducks nuts.
